Jack- Once upon a time the there was a boy. He lived on a farm and his family was very poor. He worked long hours on the farm. Five in the morning to seven at night.

One day he was crossing a humpback bridge with his pig over the Ewenny River to sell it in the market. While he was crossing he saw sparkles in the water.

Evan- They got closer and closer. It looked like a person. But it had fins. It was a mermaid. It was calling him on down the river towards the stepping stones. Then it stopped and the boy knelt down beside the river. The mermaid flung her hand out of the water and touched the boy on his forehead and whispered,

All- Like the flowing rivers you are mine, trapped forever, caught in time

Javier- And then the mermaid pulled her hand into the water and the boy followed head first into the water, his legs turned into fins. He was underwater. In the Ewenny river. The mermaid was calling him on, down the river towards the stepping stones. The mermaid stopped at the stepping stone and lifted one up.

Daniel- Underneath was a tunnel. She swam through it and called the boy on. They entered a cave dressed with gold and silver. At the end of the cave there was a chest full of gold. The mermaid swam and grabbed it. Then she swam through a tunnel above it and the boy followed.

Chris-At the end of the tunnel was a stone. She pushed up the stone and there they were, in Ewenny Priory. A couple of weeks later they got married in Ewenny Priory. The Priory was full of friend and family and it was dressed with lots of confetti and sparkling gold glistening in the sun shining through the windows. After the wedding they bought a humongous mansion in Ewenny and lived happily ever after.

All- And the pig.
