Maraiga: Once upon a time there were 4 children. It had been a hot and sweaty day at school, they were all quite tired. After school they went down to the Ewenny River to play hide and seek, one of them was on it, he started to count:
Jake: 1, 2 All: Go and Hide
Jake: 3, 4 All: I’m coming to find you.
Jake: 5, 6 All: I know your tricks.
Jake: 7, 8 All: I’m nearly there.
Jake: 9,10 All: Here I come
Ellie: So he set off to go and find them. The birds began to fly from the trees, he heard someone screaming, the ground began to shake. He ran to see where the screams were coming from. He found the girls clinging to the tree, he looked at the ground, it was shaking. All the birds flew off into the sky. The ground shook again. and loads of rats came out.
Joe: How many rats?
Jake: Hundreds, thousands, millions
Joe: What colour were they Jake?
Jake: All different colours, brown, black, grey, white
Joe: Then there was another rumble and a castle emerged from the ground and it was a really tall castle. It towered over them, the door was open so …
Katie: They walked in. Inside was a dark smelly room. It smelled of … it … it smelled of the teachers’ staff room. There was a continuous dripping noise all of the time. They walked into the next room. It was a dining room. There was enough food on the table to feed 100 people for 100 years, but it was all rotten. There was a diamond chandelier on the ceiling. It kept flickering and it caused shadows to dance around the room. Then in the corner they spotted a dark slippery staircase going down without knowing where it would take them. They went down the stairs.
Maraiga: They crept into a small room that looked like a dungeon. There was a small boy in dirty rags chained to a wall. In front of him was a towering black cloaked figure. It looked at them with red piercing eyes. Then suddenly he made a squeaking noise and then a swarm of rats appeared where he was standing. They realised that he must be a sorcerer. They walked into the dark damp dungeon.
Joe: They walked in and went up to the young boy and asked him who he was. He said “I am his nephew. He has locked me up in here and he wants me to serve him, but I won’t. Can you go and fetch my rapping horse ? Just go through that hole and you will see him.”
Charlotte : So they went through the long and winding passage until they reached a stable. There were loads of horses. Then they spotted a horse that had a golden medallion around its neck. It seemed to almost be rappingk, and jigging to the beat then they went up to it. It said something like “hey dudes and dudettes, whas up?” They explained everything. “Know what to do?” rapped the rapping horse so loudly the ground began to rumble. All of a sudden, the castle began to crumble and the rats began to squeak. They all got squished. But the prince was unharmed.
Joe: The next day in school they were on the field. A boy walked towards them. He seemed oddly familiar. He stopped half-way, smiled, winked and then they blinked. When they opened their eyes, they looked around for the boy and then realised who he was.Hide
